A mini review of The Wheel of Time.
Highly recommended to TLOTR fans. A word of advice though, don’t compare it to TLOTR, you’d be disappointed.
Honestly, I am so not fangirling over this series, unlike Harry Potter and TLOTR. I was literally over the moon while reading those two, and why not? I practically grew up reading those two, and nothing can beat that experience, right? On the brighter side, The Wheel of Time has a league of its own.
The journey begins in Two Rivers, where 3 childhood friends (Mat, Perrin and Rand) are happy in their own little world, completely unaware of the fact that their lives are about to change drastically. The story takes a twist with sudden appearance of Aes Sedai (wizard type people), Trollocs and Myrddrals (twisted dark creatures) in Two Rivers, for the first time in ages. As a result Rand along with his friend had to embark on a journey to save the world from Father of Lies, The Dark One. The story unfolds many conflicts and introduces a lot of secondary characters, among which Min, Elayne, Moiraine, and Lan are few favorites.
Dark, gothic and at times really scary – The Wheel of Time reaches a whole new level of epicness and takes you for a ride you would never dare forget.
